Branded Experience Guide

Launching a AR project with Art House and want to add your own branding?

Here is everything you need to know about our Branded Experience.

Overview

Our Branded Experience is an add-on of our Immediate Experience. Our Immediate Experience is a way to use our AR Browser (app) without the need to download and install the full application to your device. To do this, we use iOS' App Clip (for iOS devices) and Android's Instant App (for Android devices) technology which is launched by a QR code or NFC tag. When unavailable, users are taken to a landing page to download the full app.

The Branded Experience allows you to brand your App Clip Card and Landing Page. In this guide, we'll review the elements you can brand, the content specifications, and our best practices to ensure you offer the best experience to your consumers.

*Please note that Android's Instant Apps currently does not support any branding components at this time.

Branded App Clip Card

App Clips are the best way for users to quickly access and experience what your Art House project has to offer. By simply scanning a QR code or tapping a NFC tag, users are able to launch our AR Browser (app) instantly without the need to download and install our full application from the App Store. Our Immediate Experience allows you to brand the App Clip Card displayed when a user scans the QR code or NFC tag programmed to your project.

Branded App Clip
  1. Header Image // Put a spotlight on your Art House project with a header image. 1800x1200 px PNG or JPEG image without transparency.

  2. Header // Ensure your consumers know what your project is about. Up to 30 characters.

  3. Body // Add some context to your title. Up to 56 characters.

  4. Action // Select one of the following verbs that best describes the project experience: View, Open, or Play.

Branded Landing Page

Because some devices are not compatible with App Clips and Instant Apps, we've created landing pages to direct users to download the full app from their app store.

Branded Landing Page
  1. Header Image // Put a spotlight on your Art House project with a header image. 1800x1200 px PNG or JPEG image without transparency.

  2. Logo // Add your branding. Up to 1800x1200 px PNG or JPEG image without transparency.

  3. Header // Tell your consumers what your project is about. Up to 30 characters.

  4. Body // Add some context to your project such as more information on the initiative, directions on how to experience the project, etc. Up to 140 characters.

Best Practices

Be informative. The header image on the App Clip card and landing page should clearly communicate project's content.

Prefer photography and graphics. Use imagery that helps people understand the project’s value or a photo of the associated brand.

Avoid using text. Text in the header image isn’t localizable, can be difficult to read, and can make a card image less aesthetically pleasing.

Adhere to image requirements. Use a 1800x1200 px PNG or JPEG image without transparency.

Use concise copy. An App Clip card and landing page require both a header and a body. Express your project's purpose clearly within the available space so people can read these at a glance and understand the project's purpose.

Pick a verb for the action button that best fits your project. Possible verbs are View, Play, or Open. Pick View for media, or if your App Clip provides informational or educational content. Pick Play for games. Choose Open for all other experiences.
